About

Uppsala Makerspace is a politically and religiously independent non-profit association based in Uppsala. It was founded on 15 September 2014.

We want to give the people of Uppsala — young and old — who are interested in making things a place to meet, to be inspired and to help each other along in the creative process. We welcome making in every kind of material, with or without machines and tools, and for every purpose: usefulness, innovation, learning or art.

Note that the association only provides the space and the machines, and that all help comes from the goodwill of other members. We cannot guarantee that everyone gets taught how to use our tools. It is up to each of us to acquire the skills needed for the tools we want to use. That said, we very much want those with particular skills to share them — do get in touch if you would like to run a course!
